STREAM, the first ever live horror movie, aired October 18th, 2016 on the Facebook Live video platform. Co-produced by Traverse Media and Crypt TV (Eli Roth and Jason Blum’s digital genre network), the film streamed via Crypt TV’s Facebook page, garnering over 1.1 million views in just 24 hours.

Filmed on an iPhone in one continuous shot, the interactive experience welcomed and incorporated real time viewer comments. Engaged viewers watched as three young horror fans found themselves in a twisted game of cat and mouse with masked villain Kastor the Clown. The characters were initially introduced to the Crypt audience as contest winners embarking on a free trip to LA in a series of pre-recorded clips posted to the Crypt page days prior to the live event.

Written and directed by Michael Ciulla, the ground-breaking project looked to blur lines between reality and fiction using the world’s largest social media platform.
